first wooden balance bike John Crane

Great balance bike made from wood with adjustable seat, pneumatic bicycle tyres and rubber grip handles. Designed by John Crane for ages 3 and up.

This is a great bike for roughly three years plus children. It's simplicity of design is it's strength, children walk whilst in the saddle, finding their own pace (and balance) and thus building confidence and gaining balance control - so learning to ride a pedal bike will be a breeze!

Current model has a handle built into frame - great for parents who may end up carrying it home if little ones have worn themselves out!

The bike comes mostly assembled, except for a single pin joining the handlebars to the frame. Once this is in place then the handlebars themselves are fitted with two bolts using the Allen key provided. All in all this is a pretty simple procedure and shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
